4. Self-Service Activation of Campus Card Borrowing Rights
To help new students quickly familiarize themselves with and use the library's resources and services, new students must complete the activation of their borrowing privileges through a WeChat quiz. The steps are as follows:
(1) Scan the QR code to follow the "Southern Medical University Library" WeChat official account.

(2) Access the Southern Medical University Library's official WeChat account, then navigate to: Service Desk > Orientation Hub > Self-Assessment Quiz to participate.
(3) Before taking the quiz, enter your campus network username and password.
① Login using: Primary Campus Network Account (defaults to your student ID).
② Initial password: The last 6 digits of your ID card number. If the last digit is a letter, take the previous digit. The initial password consists entirely of digits. For students from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, the password is "smu_" followed by the last six digits of the ID number.
(4) After passing the quiz (minimum passing score is 80), borrowing privileges will be automatically activated. Readers can then use their campus card to borrow books.
