Coursera is the world's largest online learning platform, founded by Stanford University professors Andrew Ng and Daphne Koller in 2012. The Coursera platform has a high degree of globalization and commercialization, offering a wide range of content and certificate catalogues, including courses, professional courses, professional certificates, mentoring projects, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees. It is available for individual users, enterprises, universities, and governments, with different sections. Users can choose different pages to browse the content on the Coursera website based on their own roles. Coursera also provides courses in 20 languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, and Portuguese, and offers learning certificates, signature authentication, and specialized course certificates. In 2023, Coursera launched an AI tool virtual assistant (Coursera Coach) on its learning platform, which can enhance learning interactivity and provide personalized feedback, as well as AI-assisted course construction. This tool can be used to help educators quickly create more attractive content.
