DuXiu (Chaoxing) is a large-scale knowledge base built on 3.2 million Chinese book records, 1.7 million full books, and 1.67 billion pages of content. It supports deep table-of-contents and full-text searching within books, chapter previews, and document delivery via email. DuXiu has been integrated with our OPAC and selected Chinese/foreign databases (e.g., CQVIP, Wanfang, Elsevier SDOL, IEEE CS, ACS, ASP) as well as the Chaoxing e-book platform, enabling a single query to expand across related books, journals, conference papers, theses/dissertations, and newspapers. Results can be fulfilled through our holdings, interlibrary loan, or document delivery.
BAILIAN is a cross-database, distributed knowledge network enabling seamless linking and intelligent search without time or location limits. It aggregates 810 million+ metadata records (including Chinese/foreign journals, theses/dissertations, conference proceedings, patents, standards, etc.) and federates resources from 1,800+ libraries and 500+ databases nationwide. Where licensed, full text is delivered directly; otherwise requests are routed via the national cloud document delivery service.
