The Library's 2026 Graduation Season Series of Events successfully concluded.

2026From June 1 to June 30, 2026, a series of graduation season activities themed "Accompanying with Nantu, Blueprint to the Shore" were held, offering books as gifts and warm farewells, accompanying graduates to look back on their youth, cherish memories, and embark on their future journeys.

Voices Left Behind, Wishes Written on the Wall Full of Nantu's Affection

During the graduation season, the "Graduation Voices: What I Want to Say to Nantu" wish wall was unveiled on the first floor of the library. Graduates left valuable suggestions for improving library services, reluctant farewell words, and sincere blessings filled with "Happy Graduation"—though words are short, the sentiment is long, all turning into warm confessions. Every suggestion will serve as an important reference for the library to improve its work.

Fragrance at the Fingertips, Knowledge Fruits Freeze the Scholarly Years

On the afternoon of June 5, the "Time Fruit: Graduation Gifts from Nantu" activity was held on the west side of the library's first floor hall. Twenty-five graduates personally crafted fruit-shaped refrigerator magnets, condensing the gains from reading and memories of youth into small "knowledge fruits." The activity featured different refrigerator magnet designs, with graduates who had higher borrowing volumes unlocking special styles, symbolizing that the depth of reading will eventually bear abundant fruit. Participants collectively assembled their works into a "knowledge tree" and took group photos—this is not only a unique gift from the library to the graduates but also a collective memory left by the graduates to the library.

Counting Memories with Numbers, the "Read·Time" Commemorative Card Engraves Unique Memories

The "Read·Time" commemorative card application activity was first launched in 2016 and has now become a regular graduation season event in the library, having customized exclusive commemorative cards for nearly a thousand graduates. The commemorative card not only records each reader's top borrowed book, monthly bookworm, longest accompanying borrowing, and other reading data, but also allows users to revisit every book they borrowed during their school years through the "Reading List" function. This commemorative card condenses the long dialogue between the library and each reader into a permanently preserved digital memory.

Book Fate Passed On, Sharing Favorite Library Books in Comments

In the online collection activity "Southern Medical Book Fate: My Favorite Book," graduates left comments under the promotional article, sharing the library books that touched them most. The recommended books covered various categories such as literary classics and professional essentials, revealing the emotions and thoughts of Southern Medical University students when encountering books.

Book Fragrance Circulated, Donated Books Extend the Warmth of Knowledge

Over the past decade, graduates have donated a total of more than 10,000 books. As of now this year, the library has received 278 books donated by graduates, covering various types such as novels, psychology, philosophy, textbooks and teaching references, including titles like "There Is Only One Thing in Life," "Life, the Sea, and the Sea," "Southward Migration and Northward Return," and "Basic Chinese Medicine." The library will centrally register and process the donated books, either incorporating them into the collection or offering them for free distribution, allowing these books carrying youthful memories to gain new life and continue the warmth of knowledge.

Blessing Relay, Two-Way Messages Convey Southern Medical Affection

In the comment section of the "Blessing Relay: Two-Way Messages between Graduates and Current Students" activity article, graduates left learning experiences and growth advice for underclassmen, while current students sent sincere blessings to graduates. This two-way message relay allowed the Southern Medical affection to be warmly transmitted through words, adding a special warmth to the graduation season.

Time is silent, but the fragrance of books leaves traces. May the graduates of 2026 carry every seed planted in Nantu and let them take root, sprout, and bloom brilliantly in the days to come. Wishing you a bright future and a splendid journey ahead!
