It encompasses the following sub-databases: Medical Case Database, Formula Database, Herbal Database, Patent Chinese Medicine Database, Chinese Herbal Compound Database, Ancient Books Database, Medical Talks and Treatises Database, Warm Disease Database, and Lung Disease Database. Additionally, it provides searchable access to TCM practitioners and a comprehensive range of specialized TCM terminology.

The library enables a seamless closed-loop from symptom description and physician consultation to formulas, herbal materials, and active compounds, facilitating multi-keyword cross-platform retrieval. It contains over 120,000 ancient Chinese medical case records, more than 300,000 TCM formulas, and over 8,000 herbal medicines. The medical case data are sourced from both library collections and rare manuscripts contributed by private collectors.

The Medical Case Database provides detailed, real-world data on patient conditions, symptom descriptions, TCM consultations, prescriptions, and follow-up visits, offering invaluable reference for clinical TCM practice.

The Formula Database includes over 300,000 TCM formulas, with detailed information on formula names, synonyms, composition, efficacy, indications, source, dosage, and various scholarly discussions. It also offers formula analysis, comparisons with similar formulas, and the historical evolution of formulas from their first appearance to the present. The formulas are linked to the Herbal Database and the Patent Chinese Medicine Database.

The Herbal Database contains over 8,000 herbal entries, supporting multi-keyword retrieval and allowing users to browse herbal descriptions across multiple classic works. The Chinese Herbal Compound Database provides spectral and pharmacological data for over 400,000 active compounds.
