Founded in October 1953, Posts & Telecom Press (PTP) is a major specialized publishing house under the China Industry and Information Technology Publishing & Media Group, and is directly supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its publications span three main categories—science and technology, education, and general interest—covering more than 10 fields including information technology, communications, industrial technology, popular science, economics and management, photography, art, sports and leisure, psychology, and vocational and higher education textbooks. The Posts & Telecom Press E-book Platform leverages PTP's high-quality content resources to provide institutional users—including university libraries, research institutes, and enterprises—with online e-book reading and learning services. The platform features mainstream PDF format e-books, optimized for PC use, facilitating convenient study. Subject coverage includes computer science and electronic information, engineering and science, economics and management, humanities and social sciences, and arts and media. The platform currently offers over 17,000 e-books, with an annual update of 1,000 titles. It has established in-depth collaborations with experts, industry leaders, and renowned figures across various fields, including distinguished academicians such as Wu Hequan, Liu Yunjie, Ni Guangnan, and Zhang Ping; world champion athletes and coaches; and leading scholars in psychology such as Philip Zimbardo.

The e-book collection spans from 2011 to the present, with 32% of titles published within the last 3 years and 55% within the last 5 years. Higher education textbooks account for 30% of the collection, covering disciplines including economics, science, engineering, and management. The content is aligned with current university curriculum structures and is organized by difficulty level to meet the learning needs of students at different stages.

 

Sample Copy Application

A special "Sample Copy Application" service is available for faculty members. After completing teacher verification, faculty can request print copies of relevant textbooks.

1. Click on "Sample Copy Application" in the upper right corner of the homepage. After registration, go to "My Account" and complete the teacher verification by filling in the required information.

2. Search for the desired book in the catalog, click on the book to enter the details page, and click "Request Sample Copy." Fill in the application information to submit your request.

3. Sample Copy Application Limit: Maximum of 3 copies per month (including 3).
