Library Entrance Guidelines

1. Access to the library requires a valid personal university library card. One card per person. Swipe your card for entry. External visitors requiring access for research or teaching purposes must register at the Reader Services Desk with a letter of introduction from their institution and their ID card, and may enter only upon approval.

2. Please maintain order and use the designated entrance and exit channels.

3. Please maintain a quiet environment. Refrain from loud conversations. Set mobile phones and other communication devices to silent or vibrate mode upon entry.

4. The library operates a seat reservation system. Select and check in to a seat using your library card. One card is valid for one seat. Please do not occupy seats assigned to others.

5. Treat all library materials and property with care. Do not tear, damage, or deface books and journals. Vandalism, including marking, drawing, or carving on surfaces, is prohibited.

6. Books may only be borrowed using your own library card. Any library materials must be properly checked out before being taken outside the library.

7. Help maintain a clean environment. Eating meals or snacks inside the library is prohibited. Please do not litter.

8. For fire safety reasons, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the library. Bringing open flames, ignition sources, or flammable/explosive materials into the library is forbidden.

9. For electrical safety, personal supervision is required when charging portable electronic devices. Ensure proper safety precautions are taken to prevent hazards.

10. All users must comply with all library rules and regulations and follow the instructions of library staff. Violations of these guidelines may result, depending on the severity, in a warning, temporary suspension of library privileges, being barred from entry, or referral to relevant university authorities for disciplinary action.
