National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America was established by American Congress in 1863, having a history of nearly 160 years.Following the increasing of the science technology’s importance ,the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America has gradually expanded into the National Research Council(in 1969),the National Academy of Engineering(in 1964) and the National Institute of Medicine(in 1970),which are collectively known as the National Academy of Sciences. PNAS(ISSN:0027-8424)is one of the most cited multidisciplinary journals in the world., and as weekly magazine, is published online in Early Edition every day. From the initial issiue in 1914 to now, PNAS has been committed to the frontiers of research reports,academic reviews,subject reviews and prospects,academic papers and reporting and publication of academic developments of the National Society of Science.
