1. PubMed is developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), at the U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM), which is mainly used to retrieve MEDLINE. MEDLINE is the NLM premier bibliographic database that contains basic medical science, clinical medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine and health care, and can be retrieved by Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). This database contains more than 5, 000 biomedical journals from over 80 countries and regions in the world, with more than 20 million literatures, dating as early as 1865.
2.Using the LinkOut function provided by PubMed, our library has submitted the full text of the ordered electronic journals. You can select "Abstract" display format in "Display Settings" on the search result page of PubMed, to display the corresponding library collection icon of "南方医科大学图书馆网络资源" (resources from Southern Medical University Library) of the literatures which our library has full-text access. Users can select the "Southern Medical University Library" filter after registering a MyNCBI account. When retrieving, you can make clear which literatures can be obtained through the full-text database of journals ordered by our library, and click the full-text icon or library collection icon in Abstract to directly link to the corresponding full text.
